Mr. Ogogoh provides overall leadership and strategic direction for the organization. As an experienced human rights advocate and public interest litigator, he has led landmark constitutional cases advancing social justice, governance, and accountability across Kenya.

Areas of Focus: Strategic litigation, constitutional rights, governance, and human rights advocacy.

Position: Constitutional Lawyer

Mr. Nicholas Kamwendwa is a constitutional and public interest lawyer. He focuses on safeguarding the rule of law, constitutional governance, and human rights through strategic litigation and advocacy. Nicholas has been instrumental in challenging unconstitutional actions, promoting transparency in public institutions, and advancing access to justice for marginalized communities.

Through his work with the Trust, he contributes to shaping legal discourse around environmental justice, public accountability, and the protection of fundamental freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution of Kenya.

Areas of Focus: Constitutional law, human rights, public interest litigation, and governance reform.

Position: Program Director

Mr. Ochieng oversees the design and implementation of programs that advance human rights, governance, and institutional reform. He ensures that advocacy and community outreach efforts are aligned with the organization’s mission and strategic goals.

Areas of Focus: Program management, policy reform, and institutional development.

Position: Senior finance operations officer

Mr. Okech manages the organization’s financial planning, accounting, and reporting systems. His expertise ensures transparency, accountability, and effective utilization of resources to support legal advocacy and community initiatives.

Position: Coordinator, Environmental Defender Initiative / Defending Rights

Mr. Kithi, accredited by the Media Council of Kenya, coordinates advocacy and capacity-building initiatives that empower environmental defenders across the country. His work focuses on strengthening grassroots movements, advancing environmental justice, and ensuring the protection of human rights defenders facing threats or intimidation.

Areas of Focus: Environmental rights, media advocacy, human rights protection, and community mobilization.

Position: Communication and Media Coordinator

Mr. Kogalo leads the communication and media engagement strategy for the organization. He develops impactful campaigns that promote transparency, raise awareness, and amplify voices of marginalized communities through digital and traditional media.

Areas of Focus: Media relations, strategic communication, and advocacy storytelling.

Position: Senior Administrator

Ms. Achola plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the organization’s day-to-day operations.

Her leadership in organizational governance and human resource management contributes to the stability and professionalism that define the organisation’s culture and impact.

Areas of Focus: Institutional administration, operations management, and staff development.

Position: Family and Civil Litigation Lawyer

Hope Amugune, accredited by the Media Council of Kenya, represents clients in matters of family law and civil litigation. His work includes divorce, child custody, inheritance disputes, contract disputes, and other civil matters. He provides strategic legal advice and courtroom representation to safeguard clients’ rights and interests.

Areas of Focus: Family law, divorce, child custody, inheritance, civil litigation, Employments and contracts, property disputes, commercial disputes.

Position: Constitutional Lawyer

Mr. Masake specializes in constitutional interpretation, public interest litigation, and civic education. He provides legal representation in cases that strengthen the rule of law and works closely with communities to promote awareness of constitutional rights.
